Our Programme
Pilates Online
Join our live and interactive video calls via Zoom to exercise from home, work, or while on holiday. These are not recorded sessions, meaning your teacher can see you, direct your movements, and adapt the exercises to suit your body or manage injuries. We offer both online mat and online seated options.
Apparatus Sessions
Performed on specialist spring assisted equipment, these sessions allow for a dynamic and targeted workout guided through anatomically correct planes of movement. We offer individual, duo, and trio lessons by appointment, making this excellent for anyone looking to build fitness regardless of their current level.
Studio Mat & Seated Classes
These classes focus on strengthening the powerhouse muscles including your abs, glutes, and upper back. Every exercise in the mat sequence works to stretch and strengthen your body while improving posture and preventing back pain. We use props like pillows and straps to ensure safe spinal alignment.
Your Space Community Classes
Held at the Mary Potter Community Centre, these local sessions are designed to keep you moving safely within a welcoming group environment.
We offer community mat classes to build strength and community seated classes that allow you to safely stretch, strengthen, and improve balance without needing to get down to the floor.

Senior Romana's Pilates Instructor

“I have been involved in Scoop Pilates since it began and I cannot imagine life without it. I started Pilates because I had a significant back problem, which healed very quickly. It develops your flexibility, balance and coordination and is great for your mind as well.”
- Lesley
“I have always dreaded exercise classes in the past but not now. Mary has a fabulous approach, her style is so much fun. We laugh when it is hard. Mary never makes us feel bad if we cannot do something and will adjust the exercises to suit everyone’s level.”
- Alexis
“The benefits of one-on-one Pilates sessions at Scoop have been immense for me. My muscles are more balanced, I do not get odd niggly injuries as much as I used to, my running has improved, my strength has increased, and my physio has noticed that my body responds better to physio treatment.”
- Jane
“I started seated Pilates to improve my balance and I have found the classes invaluable. Mary has proved to be an excellent teacher who offers a varied programme in a gentle manner. The classes are well paced and Mary is encouraging and supportive.”
- Sarah
“I enjoy coming because I feel like I am making progress. As an older person with arthritis, I noticed things are beginning to creak and freeze up. I find the gentle controlled way you instruct us to use various muscle groups very good.”
- Judith
